From Ibiza

I walked on the shore today
i watched the sunset at the casa del mar
then i went and sat down
i could never do that when i was younger
i could never just be alone
it seems that i mastered it now
being alone
it seems that you reach a point in time
when you have enough peace within yourself
to be able to face yourself
then i saw boys and girls passing by
the girls were beautiful
they had time to shine up
and the boys were proud
and i remember how we were, and they smiled at me
i remember the eyes through which, back then,
we looked at women like me
part of it was admiration to the mature age
mixed with feelings of non-relating
i remember the line from Kundera´s identity
¨men don´t turn to look at me anymore¨
and i get it
i finally understand
and i´m finally in peace with it
men don´t turn to look at me anymore
and i like it...

These are the words I liked most in the post. It is a great point, enjoy it.
"men don´t turn to look at me anymore
and i like it..."
If you really feel it wiht inner joy, then you have gone agreat deal on your personal inner freedom.
Enjoy your trip.

I'm new to the "blog world" and i've been reading your posts daily... i love them, but mostly they're really sad.

... i don't have much to say except that i know the feeling, and wish you ALL THE BEST.

I second what Ghassan said. I'm glad that it's an invalid accusation.

gus, they don´t. my femininity is tucked in professional wear now as opposed to the high heals and the shiny belts..

I agree with Haider, "... attraction is based on the language of mind" - a peculiar blend of animal drive, soul and spirit. The blend in the mixer in young age is not of sophisticated aroma and ends usually up to be a lame milkshake. With time the ingredients actually improve in their complexity and supplement a "drink of attraction" that is much more powerful and reaches beyond the skin of sun tanned bikini outlines, flexing mussels and perfect teeth grinning at round asses and tight bouncing boobs ....

well, mirvat, I don't know about making heads turn, but it sure looks like, behind your screen, you're making quite a few hearts flutter.
